School Uniforms

Here is a picture of the kids in their school uniforms.  It's usually pretty cold in the morning, but then they can take off their sweaters and wear just the polo shirt as the day gets warmer.  Our kids only go to public school on Modays.  The rest of the week they are doing an online school -- Nevada Virtual Academy.  The uniform that we got for them is an everyday uniform.  The full-time students here also have a fancy uniform for ceremonies and a PE uniform that is kind of like a sweat suit for their PE days (which are twice a week).  All the schools in Mexico have uniforms, public and private.

  2. So why just Monday's? How is the online school going? Do Elena and Stephen go to school with Karl sometimes? The kids are all so attractive!

  3. Two reasons for just Mondays:
    1) Karl drives the kids to school (one car). His school starts at 7am and their school starts at 7:30am, but on Monday he doesn't teach first period.
    2) Being a charter school, Nevada Virtual expects you to actually put in enough hours and get through a certain number of lessons, and it was hard to keep up when we tried sending the kids to public school twice a week (which was before the kids school changed their start time from 7am to 7:30am).

Elena has gone to school with Karl once. His students loved it!
