Monterrey

After leaving Castanos, we headed up to the Texas border.  We spent the night in Nuevo Laredo (Mexican side), and then entered Laredo and returned to Mexico so that we could get new six month tourist visas for all of us.  Then we headed down to Monterrey.  Karl was able to find the mission home where he spent 8 months as the financial secretary, and both of the other areas where he served in Monterrey.  He thought Monterrey had changed quite a bit over the past 20 years.  We spent the night at a hotel near the Monterrey Temple.  It looked beautiful with it's Christmas decorations.  It is relatively new, dedicated in 2002.
